The SWAYATT initiative, launched in February 2019 on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform, aims to promote inclusivity by enabling startups, women entrepreneurs, and youth to participate in public procurement through e-transactions. Over the years, SWAYATT has facilitated the registration of more than 8.5 lakh Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) on GeM, resulting in over 68 lakh orders worth more than ₹1.87 lakh crore.
Notably, over 1.45 lakh women-led MSEs have secured 7.32 lakh orders totaling ₹15,922 crore, and approximately 43,000 SC/ST MSEs have received 1.35 lakh orders worth ₹2,592 crore. Additionally, more than 105 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) now sell over 200 agricultural products directly to government buyers through the platform.
