Cabinet Sanctions Construction of 110.9-km Capital Region Ring Road in Odisha

The Union Cabinet has approved the construction of a 6-lane, access-controlled Capital Region Ring Road (CRRR), including the Bhubaneswar Bypass, in Odisha.

Length: 110.875 km, Cost: ₹8,307.74 crore (Capital Cost) , Mode: Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).

Objective: The project aims to decongest Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Khurda and nearby towns by diverting traffic, improving connectivity, and supporting economic growth in the capital region.

The CRRR will form a crucial infrastructure link for Odisha, facilitating smoother logistics, reducing travel time, and boosting industrial and urban development around Bhubaneswar.
