The expo recorded around 350 project registrations from across the world

 

HSNC University Mumbai organised World Young Innovators Expo on Sunday 22nd January, 2023 at Mumbai’s Kishinchand Chellaram College.

The expo was organised in collaboration with ARCOMM- USA based technical child skill development MNC & STEAM Academy. In this mega expo competition, around 350 projects from various schools were registered, out of which 68 were shortlisted for final presentation.

HSNC University Mumbai organised the expo to promote research and innovation in science, and to help inculcate scientific attitude among young students.

The project submissions in the expo were from countries like USA, India, UK, Germany, Qatar, Oman, Netherlands, Mauritius, Bahrain and Sri Lanka. The judges for this competition were Dr Rajeswari of USA and Ms Pallawi Singhal of India. Several science scholars and enthusiasts attended the expo and witnessed the presentations by the student teams.

Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani (Provost, HSNC University Mumbai and Trustee, H(S)NC Board) and Prof. Dr. Hemlata Bagla (Vice Chancellor, HSNC University Mumbai) presided over the event and motivated the student participants through their speeches.

Out of the final shortlisted teams, 13 best projects won special awards and students received top 3 prizes for each grade respectively.

The projects from NES SVB Group of Institutions, Ryan International Group, Vels Group of Institutions, AMS  Pollachi, Indian School Muscat Oman, Indian School AlGhubra won prizes.

HSNC University Mumbai also recently organised International Symposium on Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development. The World Young Innovators Expo is another project taken up by the university to promote research in sciences.
