Jaipur: Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud offering, addressed the media in Jaipur today where the company highlighted the potential for generative artificial intelligence (AI) to unlock value for local businesses and drive industry transformation.

The event was chaired by Anupam Mishra, Head of Technology and Solution Architecture, AWS India and South Asia. Jaideep Singh Shaktawat, CEO, YoCharge, a Rajasthan-based Electric Vehicles (EV) charging management software company, and Munesh Jadoun, Founder and CEO, ZNet Technologies participated in the event.

Speaking at the event, Anupam Mishra said, “Over the last few years, Jaipur has emerged as a thriving base for businesses and startups. We aim to enable these companies to scale up from day one by giving them access to technical training, collaborating with our local partner network, and offering them our comprehensive suite of the latest cloud-based solutions. Generative AI, as the next most transformative technology, can emerge as a real game changer, spawning new, innovative, and engaging ways for businesses to run operations and interact with customers. AWS is committed to supporting industries in Jaipur to drive digital transformation enabling innovation and growth.”

AWS has been engaged in collaborative efforts with local customers and partners in Jaipur to drive digital transformation through advanced technologies.

AWS’s commitment to driving generative AI innovation

Generative AI is one of the most transformational technologies of our generation, tackling some of humanity’s most challenging problems, augmenting human performance, and maximizing productivity. Every customer experience and application will be reinvented with generative AI. It can be trained to create new content and ideas, including conversations, stories, images, videos, and music. Generative AI can enable greater innovation, differentiated customer experiences, and optimised business processes while saving time, reducing costs, and enhancing efficiency.

From startups to enterprises, organisations trust AWS to innovate with generative AI and enable value creation. More than 5,000 generative AI startups globally are building their solutions on AWS.

With enterprise-grade security and privacy, access to industry-leading foundation models, and generative AI-powered applications, AWS offers the tools and makes it easy to build and scale generative AI, customised for data, use cases and customers with security, privacy, and responsible AI built in from day one.

AWS is investing and innovating to provide the most comprehensive set of capabilities across three layers of the generative AI stack. The bottom layer includes purpose-built infrastructure to run AI workloads, including training foundation models and producing inferences (e.g., GPUs, Trainium, Inferentia, SageMaker). Tools and pre-trained foundation models to build and scale generative AI-powered applications (e.g., Amazon Bedrock) form the middle layer. The top layer comprises applications with built-in generative AI that do not require any specific expertise in machine learning (e.g., Amazon Q, Amazon CodeWhisperer).

AWS provides powerful new applications, like Amazon Q and Amazon CodeWhisperer that can help boost productivity, streamline coding, and simplify business intelligence to transform user experiences. With security and privacy built-in, easy customisation, and seamless data integration, organisations can quickly take advantage of generative AI adapted to the specific needs of the organisation.

Generative AI solutions from AWS are contributing to advancements in healthcare, financial services, automotive, energy and retail.

Driving innovation across industries

In the automotive industry, the use of generative AI tech ranges from engineering design, in-vehicle experiences, and better customer service, to generating synthetic data to test applications. For example, YoCharge is an Electric Vehicles (EV) charging management software that simplifies launching, operating, and scaling EV charging networks. The Rajasthan-based YoCharge’s goal is to make electric vehicle charging simple, smart and environment friendly, while democratising the development of charging infrastructure. In order to be ubiquitously present across geographies, YoCharge decided to go all-in on AWS.

“In our business, it is crucial that we comply with local laws of specific geographies and can scale and expand seamlessly. AWS was integral to achieving this.  AWS services such as Amazon EC2 for compute and Amazon RDS for databases have helped us achieve real-time customer experience, secure deployment of charging products, and reduce latency in the last mile by more than 35%. We have expanded to three new geographies – Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). We have been collaborating with AWS for over two years, and are excited to see how our collaboration continues. We are keen to work with AWS to understand how we can use GenAI to enhance our operations and provide better customer experiences,” said Jaideep Singh Shaktawat, CEO, YoCharge.

AWS also works with other organisations across industries in Jaipur, such as Truworth Wellness, a corporate wellness company. Truworth Wellness faced challenges with scaling its applications to manage a higher load and modernizing its infrastructure while defining security. The company decided to migrate to AWS Cloud to achieve robustness, flexibility, and agility with AWS services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon EC2 and Auto Scaling Groups, Elastic Load Balancer, AWS WAF, Amazon OpenSearch Service, AWS Fargate, and Amazon Route 53. This collaboration has successfully helped Truworth Wellness achieve its business goals of strengthening its application and infrastructure environments.

AWS also works closely with AWS Partners such as ZNet, a leading cloud platform provider to customers across the globe. The business units of ZNet include ZNetLive (managed cloud services provider), RackNap (marketplace and subscription management platform). “By partnering with AWS, we have been able to deliver industry-leading cloud solutions and provide our customers with the most advanced and innovative technology solutions. This is especially crucial for us because we want to empower our customers to achieve their goals and thrive in today's competitive landscape. Together, we are keen to unearth new possibilities in cloud computing, drive innovation, and deliver exceptional value to our customers, especially in areas such as GenAI. We have been an AWS partner for over eight years, and we look forward to enhancing this partnership further in the coming years,” said Munesh Jadoun, Founder and CEO, ZNet Technologies.

In the healthcare sector, generative AI can accelerate drug discovery and research. It can also be used to create synthetic patient and healthcare data, useful to train AI models, simulate clinical trials, or study rare diseases without access to large real-world datasets.

In financial services, generative AI can help speed up loan approvals in financially underserved markets, early fraud detection, swiftly respond to customer enquiries, generate product recommendations through chatbots, and provide personalised financial advice.

In the energy sector, generative AI can address tasks that involve complex raw data analysis, pattern recognition, forecasting, and optimization. It can help with grid management, increase operational site safety, and optimise energy production through reservoir simulation.
