Indian Navy Commissions ‘Ojas’, Fifth in 25T Tug Series


On April 2, 2025, the Indian Navy launched its fifth 25-tonne Bollard Pull (BP) tug, named Ojas (Yard 339), at Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL) in Kolkata. This launch is part of a contract signed on November 12, 2021, between the Indian Navy and TRSL for the construction of six such tugs, aiming to enhance the Navy’s operational capabilities in line with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
