Infrastructure projects worth Rs 26K crore inaugurated in Bikaner, Rajasthan

In a significant push toward infrastructure and regional development, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated, laid the foundation stone, and dedicated multiple development projects worth over ₹26,000 crore during his visit to Bikaner, Rajasthan, on Wednesday.

Key projects include the inauguration of a six-lane greenfield expressway section of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor, which aims to strengthen the supply chain and bolster industries in western India. Additionally, the first phase of the Inter-State Transmission Line for the Green Energy Corridor and a Bikaner-to-Bhiwadi transmission line were dedicated to the nation. A 30-bed Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital was also inaugurated, enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the region.


Furthermore, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of the Bikaner railway station and the doubling of the 43-km-long Churu-Ratangarh rail section, aiming to improve rail connectivity and support regional development.
These projects underscore the central government's commitment to regional development and long-term planning, with an emphasis on enhancing connectivity and economic growth in Rajasthan.
